Modify a normal servo to wench servo on RC sail boat part 2
last was: Modify a normal servo to wench servo on RC sail boat.
I used a slow servo to drive the belt system for testing, since the belt pully is small, the belt runs very slow.
checking on faster servo, digital servo is fast but very expensive, smaller servo for heli tail blade is cheaper. for example:
MD922 :0.07 sec/60℃ 6V
0.07 sec/60 degree=0.42 sec/360 degree, which is about 142 rpmI turned my attention to geared toy motor, which is offend used by maker,
2 candidates from mabuchi:
GA12-N30: 136rpm @3V, 260rpm @ 6V
GA12N20B: 194rpm @3V, 380rpm @ 6V
Both seems to work faster.
I took a MG996 servo control board, hooked with GA12N30, and previous multi turn VR, it seems it works fine, and the PID of servo board looks fine with no load.
So, I made a second version, try to reduce the volume of the system.
mostly direct connect VR to belt pully. the axi of belt pully is 3mm, the VR shaft is 4mm, I 3d printed a 6mm tube with one side at 3mm, the other side at 4mm for tight fit.
the motor mount is from 3D printing community, you can easily find a N20 gear box mount. printing a clamp to hold the motor on 6mm carbon stick.
