changing the polarzing film of LCD

after doing some research, I understand that LCD film can be degrade by light, then screen turn to black or blank.

And there are 2 films in a LCD module, one on the top, one on the bottom with reflecting face.

trick is to heat up before peel off, sometimes, glue residue can be slowly remove with alcohol. take your time, don't crape it by force, it may leave track on LCD glass.

if you can light up machine after remove the film, then it's easy to find the orientation of replacement. 

If not, try to find the most bright diection when 2 are stack up. it should be the correct direction.

1. 9XR RC remote

nothing show on the screen, after open it, it's the top film failed. slight heating with hot air gun.

after changing the upper film, it looks good with external light.
but the back light seems very week in dark.

2. coreless phone:

this one shows nothing, my first try is to replace the back side film.

JP stuff, quite delicate, can see a pop on the back side film

changing the back film, bring it back to live!
slight darker, but works fine.

3. JR 9XII remote

read it on web, it's not easy to fix, since the dot lcd is quite big, and lot of lines in this LCD glass.

It seems the back film fail, need to remove the steel case.

very nice design, the clicks has also positioning function.

Heating up, peel off is not difficult, but to remove the glue, 
does took me a while, and I scrape the glass, when I use some thing hard to remove the glue.

my bad technic leave some small bubble in it, but does not obvious.

It's nice to bring it back, I have lot of memory with this remote, and it has very good balance, feel good holding on hand.
